Handicapped ex-serviceman pedals to Goa

PANJIM: Prabhajit Singh, ex-sepoy of 4-Jammu and Kashmir Rifles, a handicapped ex-serviceman who undertook a nationwide cycle expedition with the 'Nothing is Impossible' motto, reached Goa yesterday morning.
Singh had joined the army in 1984 and was discharged from service on medical grounds in 1989 when he lost his arm in a train accident.
He embarked on the cycle tour of the nation in January 19, 2009 from Ambala in Haryana and has so far travelled 11,823 kilometres, covering 21 states including Central, North-Eastern and Southern India, in 118 days.
On reaching Bambolim Military Camp, Singh was received by Brig Ashwani Sharma, Commandant 2-Signal Training Centre and Station Commander, Goa Military Station, who presented him a cheque of Rs 15,000. Officers and other ranks of the Centre were also present.
