PANJIM: The state Cabinet yesterday is learnt to have approved a proposal to hike salary, allowances and pensions of Ministers and MLAs.
It is learnt that the meeting held in the Goa Assembly Complex yesterday evening decided to enhance housing loans for MLAs from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. It also discussed various government bills including the Parliamentary Secretaries (Salaries, Allowances and Pensions) Bill, 2009 to be introduced in the ongoing Assembly session.
